Glad to hear you achieved satisfactory results Dan.
The method I relayed is fairly common for logging operations equipment field
repairs though I was pretty pleased when I did a few experiments. As is true
so many of things I pass on, I'm just repeating what I learned from someone
else. Adopt, adapt, overcome and share.
