Larry, Once upon a time, many years ago, (late 70's) I had a
girlfriend who was raised in Queens
but ended up way down here. She talked me into going with her to visit
her parents and tour Manhattan
with a native rather than going as a tourist. We saw lots of metalwork
(blacksmithing content) and
lots of art at the museums and around town. She had to worm up to her
parents rather slowly
(3 days) before they invited us to stay with them. The St. George
hotel on Staten Island was the
cheapest place that we could find.
