Then click on the states you will be visiting.  There are a number of
entries that will probably be of interest to you, including  Old Sturbridge
Village and the Springfield Armory in Mass.

Too bad, you are going in April, The American Precision Museum, Windsor VT
opens  starting Memorial Day. 

And if you get up into Maine,  the Davistown Museum in Liberty ME is worth
visiting, not to mention that there is an incredible used tool store across
the street from the Museum, at least 3 stories of tools, stacked from floor
to ceiling.
