Good forging coal is bituminous, a soft coal with a nice mix of fines. I
suspect the Woodstown coal is all anthracite, hard coal. I only know one
blacksmith who does all his forging with a hard coal forge.
I'm from PennsGrove and my folks lived in Alloway for a while. Nice little
town.

I am about 15 minutes from the Delaware memorial bridge in a small town
called allow but you can get coal from woodstown ice and coal.
