The little that I used to make a small gavel, had almost no color
and very wide growth rings. It also seemed to be soft.

Anybody know of any uses for it? We're clearing up half a tree that fell
across our back drivewqay, and we were wondering if it was good for
projects, or firewood, or what. We have several pieces 4-6 inches in
diameter.
