Jay,
A wire brush cleaned off the maker's name. "The Manville Bro & Co. Waterbury
Conn" The only number I found was on that brass plate which could be it
model number 300.
I found the fulcrum pin and it only has one setting so no adjustment there.
Thanks for the web link, it gives a nice look at some of the things that are
possible, at least form a manufacturing point of view. I guess with the
right dies it could be like a mini iron worker.

Bob, If you look in the forth picture in this link:
http://users.comnett.net/~jryells/machinepics1.htm
<http://users.comnett.net/%7Ejryells/machinepics1.htm> you will see two
holes behind the ram. One has a pin with a cotter pin in it. That is the
fulcrum pivot point. By moving the pin to the other hole, it changes the
lever ratio. The press shown in the link is a different brand than mine.
There were quite a few manufactures of kick presses over the years. Some
models don't have any adjustment to the pivot point . My #20 has three
if I remember correctly.
The above link also shows some nice examples of tooling that can be made
for the press.
