Hi Bruce,

Do you have an 'Ace Hardware' in your area?

I know you are somewhere on the east coast (just can't remember where) and I
am here in the mid-west/Wisconsin...  You might want to check with them for
copper nails... I buy them from our local Ace for doing armor repair at SCA
events (and I also use them for lightweight rivets when I'm demoing making
spatulas).

Problem solved - tho not installed yet.  HD has thin copper flashing
for $60 for a 12"x20' roll.  I will cut that into 4" strips to give me
4" x 60', which is enough to do the north side.  I didn't find
copper-clad nails, but I plan to put this down on top of the shingles
using a tar-like material.
