I haven't contributed much to the pun cascade and it can stop any
time.

But it's cool, nevertheless.

I've "attended" a couple of on-line "wakes" -- sad posts and exchanges
between people who've never met, except in an on-line forum, when one
of them has died.  I have to say that I'm tickled by the pun cascade
that seems to me to be exactly the opposite: exuberant frivolity
because our house punster is alive, compos mentis and well along on
the road to recovery.  Cool.

So I'll happily bough out with a tip of the hat to Beauregard
Chaulmoogra Frontenac de Montmingle Bugleboy, Pogo's houn'dog pal who
went about shouting "Birch! Birch!" because it was the only bark he knew
by heart.
