[TheForge] drilling angles

Slap me if I've asked this already, but this forum seems to be the best  
bet for getting feedback of any I've found out there...
Anyone care to walk me through drilling angled holes? I've tried pilot  
holes of various kinds, but I set up the drill press at 34 deg, and can't  
figure out how to get the 1/2" bit started so it digs in in exactly the  
right place- drilling an approximate hole isn't that hard, drilling an  
accurate one is so far impossible. The bit wants to wander off down hill  
no matter what I"ve done.
