I know it is "not relevant" to our craft, if they are only interested in the finished look you should try JB Weld. Use a thin coat and clamp it up tight. Assuming this is a cap only and not structural. If it was to be structural, you could weld a plug to the inside of the end cap that fit inside the handrail rather tight, then JB Weld.... Bill -
