Hey!  She was just 75 miles up the road from me for years and I never
heard about her.  That's what I get for getting bored with the
Art Establishment and not dropping in at the NS art college more
often.

It says in her bio, "Artist Assistant to Sculptor John Greer..." [at
NSCAD].  John's a neighbor, just a coule of miles away, although I
don't see him much because he spends winters in Italy.  There's an
interesting yarn there somewhere.  A few years ago, the NSCAD got a
new president and somehow John so infuriated the new prexy that John
was fired.  Ooops.  You *can't* fire him, he's been the senior,
tenured sculpture professor for years -- I think there's a union, too
-- and you can't do that just because you hate him.  So he was for a
while on "leave" with full pay.  I have yet to learn the whole story,
which should be loaded with art college gossip and Art Establishment
backbiting. :-)
