The Association of Alaskan Blacksmiths is looking for a clinician to hold a
clinic or more in July. I'll post the correct date when I get it, I forgot
to write it down at our last meeting.
We're a pretty young club with a healthy percentage of newcomers to the
craft. The general consensus of the membership is to learn about making
animal heads and or tools. There are a number of us who can teach the basics
so that need not be a focus.
There is a good chance we'll go in on the expenses with the local Farrier's
organization so knowing something about shoeing horses would be a plus
though not necessary.
We're located in south central Alaska, mostly in Anchorage and the Mat-su
valley just north of Anch. We have members up to about 300 miles out though
and would love a draw that'd bring everybody in.
If you're interested please shoot me an E-mail with what you charge, time
frame, etc. Being the frugal souls we are we have several members offering
room and board for the stay, heck if you like critters Deb and I live on a
Pygmy goat farm with friendly critters galore. Heck, if a visit to the
Greatland isn't enough maybe a fishing trip might help.
Again, any questions or details to work out should be directed to me and
I'll poll the membership. We're a darned democratic organization and vote on
anything club related.
Thanks for your consideration.
Frosty the Lucky.
