Sounds dangerous- can you send it back to the factory?

Subject: [TheForge] Furnace Brazing

I have run into a situation that I need other peoples experiences to help
me. I had a lug braek away from a shoitgun barrel. This was made by Cooey in
Canada under the Winchester name. The lug and barrel were brazed together by
the process of furnace brazing. I think I can duplicate this method with my
propane forge, but I am not sure about what brazing materials  to use and
what temperatures I have to achieve. I understand that I may have to ream
the chamber out again if it deforms. I was thinking about doing some spot
welding with my TIG welder after I have this brazed back together.

So does anyone has experience in doing this form of brazing?

Thanks in advance.

Jerry
