Amateurs compared with the nervous nellies in LA.  I used to live in 
Redondo Beach and would commute to class at USC every morning.  Any time 
it would drizzle, the 605 crawled and I'd say the 20 mile drive would 
see about 5 major wrecks on average.  It was the funniest thing to watch 
the SoCal flakes completely freak out when so much as 2 drops of water 
fell from the sky.  Harbor Freeway was about the same.

Anyone here in LA?  Is, by chance, Carney's still in business on Sunset? 
  Used to love their hideous burgers... that and Tommy's.  Bet Frenchis 
still works there, too.  Oh, the memories...
