Well, your storm got here to SW Nova Scotia sometime after dark.  Now,
in the wee hours, there's about 4" of very wet, clingy stuff down
and it's turned to steady, drizzly rain.  

One brief power outage already because a decade or so ago the newly
privatized powerco decided it was more profitable to fire all the
crews that went around in daytime good weather trimming or removing
trees that grew up into or over the power lines and rely on emergency
repair crews that have to go out in nasty weather, night or day, to
repair the lines when ice- or snow-laden trees and wind combine to
knock them down..  I guess it's good for the economy because
everybody, especially those who have freezers full of stored food or
no backup heat source have to buy and maintain a generator.

Looks like the snow is going to be rained off by next nightfall or at
least reduced to a little slush.
