[TheForge] Now Sears...Etc...

All depends on how much and how hard you are on the tools. I have CRAFTSMAN and HUSKY and a lot of antique tools that I have used for 20+ years w/o a problem. But I must say that my most prized/heavily used tools are my SNAP-ON. They are expensive as heck, but the quality and guarantee are un-matched. I bought all I have along with an upper box when I was a bicycle mechanic back in the 90's. My boss and owner of the shop told me before I got on the SNAP-ON truck not to do it. Well, after that, it turned out that I essentially worked at that shop as a second job just to buy the tools!! Ha...Looking back, I am glad that I did. On a side note, the upper box that I bought for $400 now sells for $1500+!!! My wife bought me a lower box to stack my SNAP-ON on top of and even she commented on the difference in quality.

Sorry, I normally don't carry on like that...ha ha...Merry Christmas everyone

I'm still using a torch set, ratchets & sockets, wrenches and some power tools from Sears in the mid-60s. Local store replaced the inside works in the 1/2" drive ratchet around 1980. Had to put a bushing and spring in the 3/8 drill in the 70s.
