Far better yet, when the alternatives prove as viable and more cost 
effective.  That is what free markets allow.  Sadly, we don't have those 
- just "Free Trade", which is anything but what the name implies.

	Or switch before we run out because we have something better.  we 
should also be aware that if we run out of oil in the manners often 
talked about, no gasoline for the cars will be the very lease of our 
worries.  Say goodbye to plastics, synthetic fertilizers,  Much of our 
pharmaceuticals, lubricants, and so on.  We will be completely hosed, 
which is yet another reason to seek new energy sources so we can stop 
burning so much of what we still have.
