There is also the issues of stupidity.

I attempt to blow some place up, then leave all the incriminating 
evidence abandoned in my repossessed house?  I don't know Mark... don't 
recall having ever met him, but he seems a pretty intelligent sort - not 
the kind of idiot from whom one would expect such a stupid error.

According to the affidavit, he was in AR at that time to see the doc 
about an ear infection.  Given what was written therein, I'd bet dollars 
to donuts he wasn't feeling that great.  "I feel like shit today... I 
think I'll go blow up a church and kill a few people if I can.  That 
should make me right as rain.  That's the ticket."

Besides, the affidavit makes zero mention of motive, though they imply 
much in their language, describing documents found in the house as 
"militia extremism".  Corrupt assholes.  They can't do it clean, so they 
dirty it up a good mite to get the judge crying in its beer.
