Either aluminum bronze or silicon bronze. Anything else will probably crack while forging. Aluminum bronze forges more like steel than silicon bronze but will not take a patina well. Silicon bronze is very close to pure copper. Both forge well if you don't heat past a dull red. (Don't ever take your tongs off the piece while heating). You can also cold work it after annealing, but need to anneal often. Jack Brubaker has some great information on forging bronze if you get one of his demo videos from the UMBA library.
