Thank you Bill.  The book looks like a great resource.  I have seen  
some videos of Ron Young.  They didn't apply to the finishing I  
usually do but they were good.  I did find this on the web.

Great people, very helpfull.

Hope this helps.  I patinated a copper wall in a restaurant some years
ago using Birchwood Casey products.  Very difficult to get every part of
the surface consistently colored.  Did every thing you did except
sandblast: clean, abrade etc.  Be careful to keep free of skin oil etc.
