I agree with the other post that it matters what interests you have in
smithing.
Was wowed by Ryan Johnson, from one of the Carolinas, who does hawks,
quarters mokume and much more
Was so impressed with Brian Brazeal at LAMA, that I signed up for a two day
class with him at MS
The Gunters
Gordon Williams, AZ
Ralph Sproul, NH
Clay Spencer, AL
John Adolph, Canada, was a wealth of info and forged like a youngster with
an 8# hand hammer.
Bill Calloway, AZ
Mark Aspery, CA, seems like he was everywhere last year demonstrating
I have learned a lot from many other very good smiths at demonstrations in
the last 30 years.
Too bad I don't take the time to put some of those techniques to good use.
There is a DVD of all the above at www.umbaonlilne.org then go to the
library link.
There are about 175 videos there for rent at $5 each and you never have to
return them.

Thought I would ask you all what the best blacksmithing demonstrations you
have seen where, and who did them. I am now running a hammer in so this will
help me find really good demonstrators. thanks, Allen Ortery
