FWIW, I did not find the original post offensive, merely an obviously 
frustrating experience. Probably involving trying to express to a not 
very receptive individual that you have come a long way to look at a 
gate that is not there...

The original poster has my sympathy. While I'm at it Bruce, thanks for 
the link, I found it interesting & can understand why you would want to 
stop & examine such a gate.
