[TheForge] OT - A new virus attack - False Alert scam

My wife's computer had that very virus about 2 months ago, we believe it
loaded itself through an open port when using windows messenger though i
dont know enough to say for sure.  if i remember correctly i used a
windows registry cleaner program that i got free on the net.  i used it
to find the file name and deleted it.  i obtained the file name by
googleing the virus.  

Personally I use ubuntu linux which does not need anti-virus protection.
I stopped using windows a while back and i would not go back to windows
ever!!!  too many problems, too many viruses
