Another good forge blower option is to use the body of an old oil burner
from a residential sized furnace or boiler.  Take the non-essential
electrical stuff out--transformer and electrodes, oil pump, etc.  Just use
the housing and the motor and fan.  Adjust to your max required flow using
the air adjustment louvers on the inlet.  Then use an air gate to vary the
flow from off/low to high fire.

Nice and quiet.  Good flow at the static pressure you see in the forge. And
no constant adjustment of the speed control to try to keep it at just the
right speed.

Another benefit is that you will get some leakage at no/low fire.  If you do
it right, you can set the leakage to just enough to keep the coal lit so
when you go back to the fire, it is hot and ready to go.
