This is yesterday's posting by his wife:
De Frost:
Frosty is now staying at Alaska Regional Hospital once again (Yes,
back where he started) - but this time on the 6th floor Acute REHAB
floor. :)
It's a great stride forward. No more "baby steps" for our Frosty. He
is determined to be independent asap and is now working hard towards
HIS goal of "getting the %#@* out of that place! I am concerned about
him being released with still more issues than I am prepared to cope
with, but I know how badly he wants out and am working hard on a
compromise we can both work with ...
As of today (and keeping in mind this is only the beginning of his
first full day at AK Acute Rehab), they are already talking about
planning his release ... in about ten days!??!
The compromise will be (and the therapists agree this would be safest
for both of us) to be released with the stipulation that he stay in
Anchorage for additional out-patient therapy and a "trial home period"
for at least another couple of weeks beyond that ... but if that goes
as well as everything else has been going - there is a chance we could
actually be HOME by Christmas.
