[TheForge] Welding, soldering and anvil questions

I gotta say, I'm taking a four saturday "welding skill building" class at  
the local community college- for just a bit more than you spent on your  
welder, four days of coaching from a been-there-done-that expert.
I learned to weld when my neighbor who was helping me put a winch on my  
dump truck got a phone call, handed me the stinger and said, "finish this  
part"...why did I wait so long to get some face to face instruction???
So many things I've been just putting up with all these years, finally  
clarified.
It's so worth it- I've read books, soaked up all kinds of stuff on the  
web, and there's really no substitute for a flesh and blood teacher.
