[TheForge] Wood stoves

There used to be available - maybe they still are - kits to convert
2 55 gallon drums into a heating stove. I believe the kit had doors, grates
and maybe legs for the bottom drum and possibly parts to connect the 2 drums
together, The drums were horizontal with one above the other. The fire was
in the lower drum and the smoke went from the rear of the bottom drum up
into the rear of the top drum and the stack exited the front of the bottom
drum. This provided a large surface for heat radiation. A fellow smith had
one in his smithy some years ago and it worked well.

Subject: [TheForge] Wood stoves

Has anyone ever made a wood stove? I was thinking about making one for my
shop. I am looking for maybe to use some of the cast-iron doors on the
front.
Has anyone a source for these doors?
