[TheForge] reversal of fortunes in a blink of an eye

Depends upon the card. If you sign a document that says otherwise (or if they slip new rules by you that you did not disagree to), then it is held as sacred unless you wish to push it up through the courts.
Every year you get a new insurance policy; each time they send you a new card; this is the time that they put in new rules that are enforced, if you do not read the documents fully and notice the difference. Had problems with the first house. The loan (low % rate) got bought out multiple times during the Carter years when double digit % rates were common. The new company wished to enforce the "new rules." Only after I faxed a copy to them of the document that we had actually signed did they back off.
I'm in the wrong business<G>. But then, the wife and I figured that if we were rich, we wouldn't have time to do things. If we were poor, we would have plenty of time but no money to do them. Trying to hit a happy medium. Sort of there.
Oh yes, if a card is physically stolen I would bet.
All the Best.

I thought Federal law limited exposure to $50 if a credit card # was
stolen....
