What's IFI? Irish Film Institute? Innovation First, Inc.?
Inclusive Fitness Initiative? Institut für Informatik?
Ah, well, one's 15 minutes of Warholian fame is where you find it.

> They love your friction drive. Everybody loves the friction drive.

Even I loved the friction drive. I could hardly believe it worked when
we fired it up and it did.

Soon as the gardens are in and I've finished a few tiddly fixups and
installed a fuel tank on the diesel, I'll be trying to run the thing.
(I got behinder a bit because the good fall weather last year got
somewhat pre-empted by rigging up a cider press and making cider. And
drinking it, of course.) Oh, and I'm muddling around trying to figure
out an automatic oiler in place of the original, manual "give it a
squirt now and then" one.

So if you're talking about the A&O at the Irish Film Institute, what's
the consensus on making a band for the upper die, attached with, say,
several heavy set-screws, to hold top-tooling? Seems like a workable
notion but, OTOH, I can see that it has some hazardous potential.

My first shot at heavy spring fullers resulted in the two parts going
skew after only a few blows. I can see how to improve the tool but
having the top fuller rigidly placed would be better.
