I see a lot more 50# than 25# LGs but after getting a
copy of "The Little Giant "Powerhammer" I discover the
50#s outsold all the other sizes put together, it was
the first size produced and the lst size produced.
Anyway, yes they're pretty rare around here and one in
really good condition is even more rare.
I made it a base by bolting tow lengths of 4" x 12"
together edge to edge and put a flange on one side to
pin into one of the gozintas in the floor. When I
designed the slab I didn't know where I was going to
put a power hammer specifically or even what I'd get so
I made the general area 8" thick with #5 rebar on 1'
centers.
Me too, the welder's doing everything else perfectly
except making amps on the 240v plug. I was seriously
tempted to either change the wiring in the motor to
120v or splice the 120v legs together to make 240v.
Then I decided discression was the better part of valor
and hauled it to the pros.
Yeah, I check here daily but tend to hang at IFI, there
are a LOT more people needing help there and seeing as
they aren't already well versed in the craft I can spin
some fun tales for them. <evil grin>
