I work for the Natural gas company in my area and unless special agreements are made we serve houses with 4 - 7oz in most cases. They are starting to serve 2 psi in some developments. If your guage is showing 12 psi and they are supposed to be delivering 15psi you should have them come check because some of the meters are flow meters which measure the volume but not the pressure, so you may be overcharged if they are figureing at 15 psi and you aren't recieveing it

    I have 12psi gas pressure in my shop. I don't know if it is possible
in all areas, but I asked the gas company and they asked me what pressure I
wanted. When I told them 15psi they said no problem. I had to buy the
non-standard meter and all regulators downstream are also my responsibility.
At the time I was considering a natural gas / oxygen torch set-up and Smith
Torch Company told me I could cut up to 1.5" with that pressure level. Some
day I will ask the gas company why my guage indicates 12psi instead of
15psi.

that was my thought also. 12 psig natural gas is unheard in these parts of
northern illinois.
