hello;

a new air compressor arrived yesterday this is a temporary unit which i
will sell off when the two duplex units arrive from northern tool. this
one has several warning stickers on it that state that the air pump must
have 100 percent synthetic 10w-30 oil. what is so special about
synthetic oil?


i have also come to the conclusion that many of the air compressors sold
in north america are manufactured by the same company, sanborn mfg a
division of mat.

anyway, i am curious as to what is so special about synthethic oil that
it is required to be used in the air compressor pump.
