[TheForge] separate air systems or split system?

hello;

there are two basic uses of compressed air in the shop; pneumatic tools
and spray painting. spray painting requires dry oil-free air while the
pneumatic tools require lubrication and dry air. currently each tool is
oiled when it is put into use this is okay for now put not what i would
like for the new shop. in laying out the new air system i can either
create two independent compressed air systems one for spray painting and
one for everything else or a split system that use the same compressors
and air receivers but separate piping systems.

i would be interested in hearing how others have dealt with this.
