[TheForge] garden tools, botanical forms

I recently beefed up a shovel for a bamboo farmer by welding a length of 1" pipe on for a handle. He said he breaks every possible shovel he gets his hands on by prying up the root ball. Apparently the Japanese models retail for 250$ and he wasn't quite ready to go there. Sounds like a job opportunity, perhaps.

The Red Pig garden tools look nice, I wonder if he's using some good carbon steel for his mattocks and such?

Realism in botanical forms: Years ago after being told to 'lighten up' I gave up trying to get the perfect leaf. Since then, I feel much better. Come to think of it, the Deco movement was pretty much rejecting all those classical forms anyway.
