[TheForge] flint strikers

You MUST temper the striker or it will not work well, if even at all.
There is a rather narrow range of hardness values into which the striker
must fall in order to function properly. I once spent better part of a
day at the Folk School tearing my hair out in several failed attempts to
get it right. I finally got it to work, but by then I was fit for a
strait jacket. Marshall just stood by, deriving great entertainment
from my swearing and frustration.

You have been warned.
