The engine is a modified Lutz engine. Dates back to the 1940's Lutz
made it work as a diesel. Ran a bicycle off of it. He also got a
patent on the swinging piston design so this guys patent has to be
some variant on Lutz's design. The major problem for Lutz and probably
this guy is the seals between disks. It is easy to use elastomers if
you are running it off air but at the temps of an IC engine the
materials problem is more difficult. Not impossible but difficult. I
think seal life will be a major problem for this kind of engine.
