	Yes, as are people.  CA is one shitty place to live in many ways, which 
is sad given what a purty place it is.  When I lived there it was VERY 
different.  They'd have to pay me to live there now, and it would have 
to be a staggering sum because the restrictions on peoples' lives are, 
as you say, onerous.  I can't figure how folks can stand it... but then 
again, with people fleeing, perhaps they can't.
