Andrew, do you mean tap & die?

Since Schnitzer Steel stopped selling in my area (they only buy scrap
where I live now), I've been starting to find the actual SCRAP
yards.... the ones full of junk, where some poor guy spends all day
with an abrasive wheel tearing aluminum from copper, etc...

I would love to find anvils and swedge (is that a swedish swage?)
blocks amongst the scrap, but no dice yet.  The closest I've come to
that, is when I was hunting around asking everyone for an anvil, some
random college student I met said his grandmother had one.... next
month I heard that she had just taken it to the dump.  Now one of our
local smiths works at a rural dump out of town, and there is an
incredible wealth of material that goes toward the landfill.  When
will these bloody yanks learn??!
