I with Ries on this -- not worth the money being ask. Value as scrap is
about $ 500 if you are selling and 5 times that if you are buing.
Lots and lots of stuff out there right now with many business going under
and likely more to follow. You would be surprised sometimes what you will
find in the backroom when machine shops and fab shops go on the block.
As to the swage block these were common in heavy shops like a railroad shop.
That is where mine came from -- looks just like that. I paid $ 100 about 10
years ago for it and it is not for sale. If you check industrial sales you
might find one. Not so common in the average blacksmith shop or farm shop.
It is nice to have, but I use my smaller ones more -- they are easier to
move around and set up on edge.
