[TheForge] autodarkening SHIELD! really

1. I've used Jackson shields (Helmets) for years now. I started with a EQC
3 in one and my only complaint was the battery compartment would get sweat
in it and the contacts would corrode, Still lasted about five years. One
lasted with enough radiant heat off a statue repair that it melted the face
plate and part of the cartridge, still went 2yrs more till it contacts
disintegrated. One of these days I'll open the cartridge and remote locate
a different battery.
I am now using their Nexgen model with two lithium batteries mounted so the
problem is fixed and it has a sealed cartridge. Batteries last about two
years and work in all weather here in NYC. The models have the ability to
quick change between grinding, cutting and welding presets with the welding
adjustable for shade, sensitivity, time delay. I've dropped these quite a
few times and they last well. I think the last was about $280 but I've seen
them new on ebay cheaper

2. What kind of amperage are you running and what's your welding durations
(Minutes at a time or hours)
