[TheForge] Copper tags

I keep track of wires and units for different projects.  As they are numbered I enter the info into an xls sheet.  Then I can search and find easily.

I periodically do a data sort by brand or model number and then make all the same ones identical.

I think pre numbered tags might be a pain.
This is especially true if there is any logic to the way numbers will be 
assigned.

"Now where the heck is tag 349"?

If it were me I'd number as I went.
