Doesn't the hose hook up?

They didn't change the fittings when they went to the 
more idiot proof (HAH!) flow restricted, float valve 
hindered "safety" valve. Tanks 40# (I believe) and 
above have the old style (gotta actually know how to 
fill it) valves with the old style connections and 
those will connect to BBQs.

Are you talking about a backpack model that uses the 1# 
bottles like a Bernzomatic torch? You can get the 
adapters for those at most sporting goods stores and 
virtually any big box store with a sporting goods 
section.
