A few years ago someone on this list posted and url to a blade smiths 
anvil they had made.

As I remember it was a piece of 4" square tool steel about a foot long 
set into a stand that allowed adjustment for the end of the anvil to be 
set at heights allowing the blade smith to work either sitting or standing.

If anyone has this url or better yet the anvil itself I'd appreciate 
talking with you.
