Ron,
Teak is a favorite on boats and takes quite a beating...I remember working
for days on the teak and white oak on one of my Dad's newly acquired boats
as an early teenager...anyway here's a link to an article by a marine guy,
Don Casey.

If memory serves, we used the restorer and conditioner called Dekswood and
Deks Olje by Flood -

- not sure if the prduct line is still available in the US, but the stuff
worked great!
George.

Subject: Re: [TheForge] Teak wood handles
A friend wants to use some old bleached-out teak he salvaged out of an old
boat for knife handles. Is there anything short of sanding down to the bare
wood that would restore its former luster? I thought about linseed oil, but
it may just protect the dull, faded wood.
