Sidecars take special care when riding.  Unless you have practice, and understand them, they can be dangerous.  Now, that said, An Electroglide is a larger bike, has the high quality suspension; and I believe would provide you a better ride than the Piaggio.  You will be able to carry larger loads easier as well.  However it will eat more gas.  Talk with someone who owns a sidecar.  Likely there is a sidecar club in your area.  Your call.
