Yeah, when a tree in a suburban back yard - especially on that had
been pruned amateurishly in the past - gets large, you get to worry
when a storm might put it through your roof.  I used the excuse of
removing shade on my garden plot to top this tree which I'd neglected
for many years.  The tree is fine, just smaller now; probably
healthier than ever judging by the rot I cut out.  It will survive.
