I guess they sell for around $300 with the charger. I have seen kit
prices with a drill and two batteries for around $450. Thats more than
the infomercial saw, but but for me it's better the devil you know...
Panasonic also makes a 18 volt saw. My preference is still with the 15.6
model that has a 5.375" blade vs the 6.5" blade of the 18volt unit. For
what I used it for the lighter weight and smaller size of the 15.6 saw
was ideal. I'm not a Panasonic salesman, but I have had two Panasonic
hand drills for years and grew to love them also. The were the first
battery drill with a armature shaft that locked when you released the
trigger, makes tightening a key less chuck a pleasure.
Like I said I sure miss that saw.
