Blacksmith's Fall Meet at Huntington River Smithy at Jim Fecteau's

Smithy" in beautiful Huntington, Vermont September 11th, 12th, & 13th 2009

New Egland Blacksmith's Fall Meet: Hntington River Smithy
The NEB Fall meet for 2009 will be held at Jim Fecteau's "Huntington River
Smithy" in beautiful Huntington, Vermont on the 11th, 12th, & 13th of 
September,
2009 Featured demonstrator- Steve Parker. Steve is an industrial smith that
has 15 years of experience in making all the tongs and handling equipment 
for
the Clifford Jacobs Forge House. Steve has worked with and stays in close
contact with his friend and mentor Clifton Ralph who has shared his many 
years
of experience with power hammer forging. Clifton worked all his life as a
maintenance blacksmith for a steel mill in Gary Indiana.

This all meet is one you should not miss if you own a power hammer or have 
any
interest in Industrial Shaping, Tool Making, and General Forging Principals 
that
apply o Treadle, or Power Hammer Operation and getting the results you are
after in your wok.
This all NEB event will also include:

HUGE GREEN COAL"  TEACHING TENT WITH MANY FORGING STATIONS:
HANDS ON LEARNING!

Two Demo Areas -- Additional Demonstrators --
Iron in the Hat -- Auction -- On Site Camping -- Gallery -- Chicken BBQ
Tailgating -- Coal for Sale

We also have "Pick Up Demos" planned in the main tent or the shop
A "Pick Up Demo" is usually done after hours for a way of teaching
on a topic of the demonstrators choice which they are extremely proficient
at. It is most often provided to a full seating of onlookers, as compared to
the one on one teaching approach of green coal.

Our Pick up Demonstrations will be done by:

Nathan Robertson - Hammer making
Stephen Gensheimer - Design concepts

Nathan will be attending the conference from Minnesota and has
made over 4,000 hammers for metalworkers across the country

Steve Gensheimer has a design and metalworking shop in New Jersey and is 
very
accomplished at what he does - Don't miss these presentations!!

Local Details: Jim Fecteau's Huntington River Smithy is located in beautiful
Huntington, Vermont - just 20 miles from Burlington. Lots of local B&B's and
hotels near by. Onsite camping will have water and portajohns but no RV 
hookups.
Swimming holes nearby.
