[TheForge] Fireplace glass

My son says one of the glass pieces on his fireplace doors broke.  This is a commercial unit that was in the house when he bought it.  I have not looked at it yet but he says the frame is either welded or riveted and that there is no way to remove the glass.  He also said the glass was in two pieces horizontally and just butted together.

I know .... I know ... but I don't have time for another project right now.

Have any of you looked at similar units and is there a way to repair this?  Or do I have yet another project?
