Been there. I stayed clam, did as I was told and having 
done nothing wrong it was resolved within half an hour. 
I met the physical descriptoin of a serial child rapist 
in the area. Half dozen gun muzzles is exactly right.

Still, I'm not in favor of letting the gvt in my 
business anymore than necessary. It sounds like the 
fingerprint req. for volunteering is in this case some 
arbitrary thing by an underling. Getting it tossed 
shouldn't be terribly difficult, just say no.
